Phoebe Nissanoff- Week 8: Pure Happiness

As December approaches, all I can think about is my Grandparents from New York returning to Florida for the next few months. There is nothing in this world that is comparable to the happiness I feel when spending time with my Grandma and Papa. They are simply the most special and amazing people. I truly believe that my Grandma and Papa were always meant to be grandparents. They express an immense amount of love to the entire family and view us all in the most positive light. They are the most loving, selfless, caring, and simply incredible people I know. It's impossible to write about and express 16 incredible years of unforgettable memories I’ve made with my grandparents. They have been supporting me every step of the way. Even the simplest dinners or even a facetime call with them has shifted some of my worst weeks into the best ones. Their smiles and laughs are so contagious. They are most definitely two of my biggest inspirations and I look up to both of them as role models in my life. They encourage me to be the best version of myself and explore the world with optimistic eyes. I aspire to see the best in people the way that they do.

I’ve always had a special connection with my grandparents. They will forever hold a special spot in my heart. While they live in New York half the time it's so important for me to make sure I keep our relationship strong because it means so much to me. A text, facetime, or call from my grandparents instantly puts a smile on my face. They have the most amazing energy that constantly lightens up a room. I'm so incredibly grateful to have them in my life, especially so close to me. They consistently bring me happiness and our love for each other and incredible relationship is everlasting. I'm so excited for them to return to Florida so I can spend as much time with them as possible. As November speeds by quickly I am counting down the 15 days till I see them and get to be the happiest version of myself. Do you have someone special in your life that means the world to you?

  1. This was so heartwarming and genuine. I also love spending time with my grandparents and family that live far away, and I love having family events that bring us all together. I really hope you shared this with your grandparents, because they would love it!
